The purpose of the study is to identify characteristic styles of family upbringing for adolescents with different professional preferences. Research methods and organization. Theoretical analysis of scientific literature, surveys (questionnaires), the Differential Diagnostic Questionnaire method (E.L. Klimov), and the "Adolescents about Parents" ADOR test (authored by E. Shafer, modified by Z. Mateichik and P. Rzhichan) were employed, as well as the Student's t-test for verifying the statistical significance of differences. During the study, 129 adolescents aged 15 to 17 years were surveyed. Research results and conclusions. The research established that in families of adolescents interested in living organisms, there is a misunderstanding with parents caused by a lack of attention and support. Adolescents who are passionate about technology and abstract fields feel an excessively high level of control from their parents, which limits their individuality. Among adolescents aspiring to professions involving active interaction with people, a hostile and autonomous attitude prevails, indicating open conflicts with parents. Conversely, adolescents choosing creative professions note positive interest from their parents, which fosters mutual understanding and shapes a positive self-image.
