The professional activity of a university teacher leaves an imprint on his personality, worldview, forms a special behavior, type of character and affects the state of health. The teacher evaluates the world around him through the prism of professional duties and interests, which leads to the formation of professional deformations. The work carried out an analysis to identify professional deformations of university teachers. The characteristic types and features of professional deformations of university teachers were identified, such as authoritarianism, overcontrol, learned helplessness, conservatism and anxiety. The relationship between the severity of occupational deformities, the effectiveness of professional activity and health status has been studied.
