Footwork is one of the most important techniques in climbing. The key is to put most of the weight on your legs. The use of a more diverse arsenal of techniques increases competition results. Currently, the information on footwork is scattered, different sources contain differ-ent combinations of elements. In the training process it is necessary to introduce terms corresponding to different technical elements. For this purpose, systematization is necessary. Due to the large volume and variety of technical actions of the legs, the article considers only the classification of movements with one leg and gives brief descriptions of the performed actions.
