The article deals with the issue of teaching professionally oriented vocabulary of construction specialties. The definition of foreign professionally-oriented vocabulary is given. The importance of teaching professionally-oriented foreign language vocabulary of construction specialties for successful professionally directed communication is noted. Appeal of the authors to the issue of teaching professionally-oriented foreign language vocabulary of construction specialties dictated by the trends in the development of modern society and education.
